Maybe life feels like something you're getting through rather than enjoying. There's never enough time, things you once loved have lost their appeal, and the pressure is affecting your relationships. You might be feeling overwhelmed by stress or anxiety, struggling with loneliness and low self-esteem or simply feeling stuck and unsure where to start. Perhaps your mind won't switch off at night, or there's a nagging, critical voice telling you you're not doing enough or you're not good enough. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Sometimes, having the space to slow down and talk things through can be the first step towards understanding what you need.Together, we can find a way back to what matters.

How we'll work togetherI'm an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we'll work together to understand what's keeping you stuck and what you'd like to change. You can talk openly about what's troubling you, without fear of judgement. Sometimes that may involve gently challenging the way you see yourself or a situation, helping you consider a different perspective and make changes that feel right for you. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable, focusing on what matters most to you and finding a way forward that feels right for you.A little about meBefore becoming a counsellor, I spent 20 years working in hospitality, much of that time in leadership and management roles. Working in a fast-paced, demanding environment gave me a real understanding of what it can be like to carry responsibility, manage high expectations and keep everything going, even when you're running on empty. It also showed me how easily pressure at work can spill over into our wellbeing, relationships and life outside work. My background in hospitality has meant working with people from all walks of life; it taught me that while everyone's experiences are different, many of the pressures, hopes and challenges we face are deeply human and widely shared. What I've learned from counsellingMy own experience of counselling showed me the difference it can make to have someone alongside you while you make sense of things. It helped me understand myself differently and find a way forward, and that's something I hope to offer my clients too.Whether you're facing a specific challenge or have simply reached a point where things don't feel quite right, we'll work together to understand what's happening and what you'd like to change.
